Abstract
Territorial development currently represents one of the main priorities of government policies, to obtain a better integration between the efforts of educational institutions and the dissimilar contexts in which they operate, which demands the project of the Chair of Advanced Education, with the postulates, categories, principles, regularities and laws of this Theory that allow organizing, executing and evaluating professional and human improvement in various scenarios, so that it affects the quality of life and the conformation of the human capital of society, a contribution to strengthening the theory and practice of local community development through the continuous training of human potential. The general objective of this work is to carry out a brief theoretical and practical approach that allows positioning social participation and local development management as topics addressed in Cuba and the world through the Advanced Education Theory, as well as the relationship that exists between them and the various proposals for its development. The development of the country and at an international level the improvement of the conditions and quality of life of the population in each of its territories has among its premises the continuous training of human potential and the generation of new knowledge to satisfy the needs and promote local development community. In this way, the territories will be able to count on men and women capable of implementing effective local community development processes that reduce the social problems that arise.
