Abstract

The current paper constitutes an outcome of the research process developed by the main author in her academic training thesis. Likewise, it is derived from the research project “The improvement of the teaching of English in Primary, High School and Higher Education”. It focuses on showing examples of linguistic knowledge self-management activities, which have been put into practice in the subjects English Linguistic Studies III and IV, with the purpose of contributing to the development of the skills of conveying meaning in English in the teacher trainees from the School of Foreign Language Education (SFLE). Methods from the theoretical and empirical level are used. Besides, certain dimensions and indicators are assumed to value the skills object of study. The activities show their theoretical bases in two principles, and the methodological one in the communicative teaching of English Grammar, supported by the textbook.
