Educación Familiar desde el nivel de educación media en el contexto colombiano

Family Education from the middle school level in the Colombian context

Abstract

Family education at the Colombian national scope is key to bringing guidance to parents who have the responsibility within the family to assume this formative role while protecting children´s rights and duties. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to highlight the importance that family education has in the formative process of secondary school students at The Alfonso SpathSpath School from the municipality of Cereté, Córdoba - Colombia. Two important moments are addressed in it. Firstly, the analysis of how parents assume family education, together with this analysis, the search for theoretical references related to the topic described is carried out to acquire a greater approach in terms of pedagogical strategies aimed at creating spaces for the development of family coexistence. From the methodological point of view, a qualitative approach is addressed, through the explanation and description of the situation raised and using interviews with students, parents, and teachers as instruments to collect information that makes it possible to establish the mechanism to be used to strengthen family education at school.
