Use of specialist criteria in research beyond Advanced Education

Abstract
There are frequent investigations that apply the criteria of specialists as a method in order to assess the feasibility, applicability, and viability of a given proposal. It is then necessary to evaluate the use of specialist criteria in research beyond Advanced Education. The search and review of recent academic scientific literature was carried out, using the term “specialist criteria” as a search criterion, and it had to be present in the title and/or methodology. It was considered pertinent to review the scientific articles, postgraduate and doctoral theses in the last 10 years (including the current one), that is, from 2014 to 2024, with some exceptions, as they are fundamental contents that are still considered current. It is confirmed that the application of the specialist criteria method, applied correctly, has a high scientific-methodological value and contributes positively to scientific research. The specialist judgment method constitutes an effective instrument in scientific research.
