Abstract
The management of the training of new teachers in Higher Education Institutions is a current problem. This paper examines this situation in the General Pedagogical Training Department of the Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences, and is the result of the doctoral thesis that is part of the institution's research project: strategic direction in improving organizational learning, integrated into the Network of Strategic Management in Higher Education. The purpose of this article is to present a strategy based on organizational learning as an alternative for the management of the training of new teachers in the teaching department. The research adheres to the mixed approach by combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The strategy was submitted to consultation of specialists who evaluated the effectiveness of the proposal, as well as to the evaluation of new teachers who recognized that it is adequately articulated with the strategy of the institution, satisfies their expectations since the actions contribute to solving the main problems that they present in practice, the organizational forms and procedures used help to model how their training should be developed in the teaching department.
