Professional development strategy to promote the legal preparation of municipal education methodologists

Abstract

This article proposes a professional development strategy to enhance the legal training of methodologists in general and secondary education in the municipality of La Lisa. It is based on the need for a robust legal culture that enables methodologists to interpret and apply laws in their work advising and supporting educational leaders. Through mixed research, the study identifies deficiencies in the legal training of methodologists, classifies the necessary content, and proposes dimensions and indicators to guide this process. The strategy includes actions organized into stages: awareness-raising, planning, implementation, and evaluation. It is based on the Cuban legal context, considering laws such as the Constitution and educational regulations. It also promotes activities such as seminars, courses, and methodological workshops, and combines forms of professional development. The approach seeks to foster mastery of legal content, skills in applying legal instruments, and a conscious attitude toward legality. The importance of legal training in improving the educational system and building responsible citizenship is highlighted. It contributes to the development of pedagogy and responds to social and economic transformations in Cuba, positioning legal training as a key tool for educators.
