Abstract

Corporal Expression is a tool that favors the development of capacities and abilities in the individual. In this research work it is closely related to the topic of recreation from the playful activity and the consolidation of knowledge as part of the teaching-learning process in which children of the 2nd cycle of primary education are involved. Research methods taken into account were: analysis-synthesis, inductive-deductive, theoretical modeling, documentary analysis, survey and interview, which made it possible to achieve the objective of the research: to propose a Corporal Expression workshop program to support the teaching-learning process and the healthy recreation of children between 9 and 13 years of age in the community. The importance of the research work lies in the proposal itself of the Corporal Expression workshop program for local children, as a summer course proposed by the University Extension Department of the University of Cuban Sports, which has no precedent. The planning and design of the workshop program constitutes part of the results; which also reflects the relevance of corporal expression from its multiple dimensions, as a proposal and expressive resources, which contributes to the improvement of the teaching-learning process and recreational spaces for children.
