Representaciones docentes sobre las competencias pedagógicas de la educación ambiental en la escuela colombiana.
Abstract
The anthropogenic deterioration of the environment puts the survival of the planet on alert. Environmental Education is called to the formation of the new citizen who resumes a protective conscience through knowledge and making correct global decisions for their own benefit and that of others. Teacher environmental education provides students with the necessary skills to face local, current and future contextual challenges. This inquiry sought to determine teacher representations about pedagogical competencies in environmental education in the Colombian school environment. The research was interpretative, of a qualitative nature, under a phenomenological design. It was carried out in official educational institutions of the Municipality of Montería - Colombia. The information collection instrument was the semi-structured interview with teachers from official rural and urban institutions participating in the School Environmental Projects (PRAE). From the results, it stands out that the pedagogical competences that allow the teacher to educate in the environment are: knowledge of the natural sciences, development of investigative competences in the students, construction of knowledge in the environment and promotion of positive attitudes in the students.
