The improvement of the university-society link, from Social Pedagogy: a current need
El mejoramiento del vínculo universidad-sociedad, desde la Pedagogía Social: una necesidad actual
Abstract
The university-society link is a current need, which requires the intervention of teachers, who are professionals who have the knowledge and skills to put into practice an action of a social nature. The objective of this study is: to argue the role of Social Pedagogy in improving the University-Society relationship, in teacher training, in the context of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. In the methods, those of the theoretical, analytical - synthetic level are used, for the study of the essence of the key concepts of social Pedagogy, theoretical systematization, for the articulation of authorial referents and theoretical approaches, as well as the analysis of documentary sources of regulations, documents of national and international organizations that contribute content to this study. In the Results, a conception of social Pedagogy is assumed, which energizes the process of the University-Society relationship, in teacher training, mediated by the use of ICTs. In the conclusions, the need to transform the vision on the role of social Pedagogy is reached, to invigorate University-Society relations, mediated by ICT in UASD teacher training.
