Relevancia e impacto de las tutorías entre pares en la Educación Superior
Abstract
The relevance and impact of implementing peer tutoring strategies for teachers is described, with the aim of promoting pedagogical leadership through recognition, mentoring, and collaborative work among teachers. Methodologically, this is a descriptive qualitative study, supported by an intrinsic case study. The results establish that peer tutoring facilitated teachers' ability to assume an active role in the planning and development of their classes, promoting teacher empowerment and pedagogical leadership. They deployed soft skills such as the ability to innovate; work collaboratively and democratically; and learn together with their peers; and took into account their students' profiles when planning and making decisions regarding improvements that benefit student learning. Through peer tutoring, collaborative work was consolidated, with a critical and self-critical approach to teaching practice, allowing for the identification and visibility of relevant aspects that often constitute critical junctures in achieving quality learning for students.
