Care of dyslexia in fourth year students of the Río Quinindé Educational Unit
Atención de la dislexia en estudiantes de cuarto año de la Unidad Educativa Río Quinindé
Abstract
Dyslexia is a concern for the international and national scientific community. The contributions in this area are directed at the different levels of education with an emphasis on Basic General Education. In Ecuador, numerous investigations show the deficiencies in the direction of the teaching-learning process of reading and writing in Basic Elementary Education and in the teacher's attention to dyslexic students. In this sense, a methodological strategy is proposed for the improvement of the attention of students who present dyslexia in the fourth year of the Río Quinindé Educational Unit. It focuses on writing, omission and/or distortion of graphemes and phonemes and orthographic variability existing in words, which also contributes to the development of reading speed, comprehension, vocalization, in order to compensate for dyslexia in students based on the support offered in the different reports issued by the Student Counseling Department. It was found in practice that the theoretical and methodological aspects presented contribute to addressing the problem stated above, which, together with criteria issued in different spaces for exchange and reflection, provide empirical evidence of the relevance of the proposal.
