Abstract

The study of the origins of the higher undergraduate pedagogical training of the primary teacher, is a theoretical reference to warn the phenomena of contemporary education and find solutions to current problems, there is a need for new knowledge about this in the locality for training. more comprehensive of the professional. Being the research objective: to characterize the historical-pedagogical process of the higher undergraduate pedagogical training of the primary teacher in the town of Santiago de Cuba (1979-2019). It constituted an effective way to raise the quality, the restoration of the culture and identity of the profession of the locality; It is based on historical and dialectical materialism, which allowed the study of the object from its genesis, development and contradictions. Research techniques from historical sciences were applied. The practices of analysis of referential documents, the bibliographic record, the criticism of the sources, the life history, testimonies. His approach made general scientific methods available; as well as the selection of the methods of theoretical level, empirical level and mathematical statistics. The criteria of some experts on the subject are taken into account, based on the study of different referents, both national and international authors.
