The intonation of Spanish from the perspective of the Chinese-speaking student
La entonación del español desde la perspectiva del estudiante sinohablante
Abstract
This article reflects on the opinion of Chinese-speaking students in relation to the interrogative intonation of Spanish. It was based on a survey applied to Chinese students (of different levels of Spanish), from the Hunan International University of Economic Studies, the experience of the authors (teachers of Spanish as a foreign and second language) and the results of research on the issue. The study corroborated the need to assume the definition of intonation proposed by García-Riverón (1998), from the perspective of complexity, and to apply it in the teaching-learning process of Spanish as a foreign language and in linguodidactic research, in order to Get the student to recognize and produce the nuances of meaning offered by the interrogative patterns of Spanish.
