Abstract

At present, Basic Secondary Education in Cuba is called to lay the foundations for the transition to a higher stage, which is why it constitutes a fundamental link in the development of the personality of the students. From this perspective, it is of great importance to delve into the historical evolution of the job training process in said teaching. Hence, this article aims to reveal the characteristics that labor training has manifested in its historical evolution, through the establishment of three stages. In the development of the research, theoretical and empirical methods were used, which allowed deepening the main antecedents of the subject studied. The historical characteristics revealed contributed to the knowledge of the main achievements and challenges associated with job training in basic secondary school in the country.
