Abstract

Continuous fostering as a systemic process is addressed to Cuban higher education professionals to reach level of excellence in issues of professional and personal development. The professors are trained in their specific subjects from their motivations and interest. However, the development of Continuous fostering actions guarantees and strengthens the educational process.

But, without a systemic planning, guiding and organization allowing the university professor to carry out the required change of higher scientific and teaching category, there would be a setback in the teaching learning process.

From the policy of the Cuban Higher Education Ministry which is addressed to reinforce continuous fostering in the university as regards the university professors’ training and improvement to achieve the best quality in the teaching learning process, it has been necessary to develop a pedagogical conception allowing interpretation and foundation according to the current needs from its historicity and basis from its organizational forms and particularities.

It is the intention with this work to expose theoretic considerations of this investigation from criteria and assessments on the continuous formation.
