The distance learning: advantages and disadvantages in cuban contemporary higher education
La educación a distancia: ventajas y desventajas en la educación superior cubana contemporánea
Abstract
The Distance Learning in Cuban Higher Education is a theme that it is worked up like a variety of feasible study for exceptional cases and in the preparation of students and professors, through the knowledge with the use of technological resources, that way attaining high-quality results in the teaching learning process.
In it stands out the role of the professor as a counsellor in teaching and the student as autonomous in the searching of the information.
Results indicate that the application of the mode of the Distance Learning provides possibilities and substantial advantages in the Higher Education in its formative process, but it is indispensable to take into account human and technological resources in order that he does not make difficult his successful development.
For what is worked up for the perfecting on the road to learning and the overcoming, they promote new pedagogic practices that they enable supporting the educational component from the presenciality and also, from virtuality.
Systematically it is worked up in the search of solutions to improve the educational step, when taking into account the principles of an economy, the technology and the agents that intervene to confront the process of bringing up to date.
