Las potencialidades talentosas en los niños de la educación preescolar

Resumen

Este artículo ofrece una sistematización de los principales aportes a la conceptualización  del talento desde diferentes contextos y momentos históricos, resaltando los brindados por los estudiosos cubanos. Los cambios a lo largo de la historia en el concepto del talento influyeron notablemente en la identificación de sus características.

Los niños talentosos son el recurso más valioso de la sociedad, porqué serán los futuros artistas, autores, políticos y científicos, es necesario darles una atención adecuada y desarrollar su enorme potencial.

Además se ofrecen indicaciones para las educadoras, quienes tienen la oportunidad de identificarlos y potenciar su talento, así como sugerencias a la familia, para orientarlas y apoyarlas en la atención que les brindan a sus hijos con Necesidades Educativas Especiales.

Potential in the talented children of preschool

ABSTRACT

This article provides a systematic view of the principal contributions to the concept of talent (gifted children) in different historical periods and contexts, highlighting those offered by Cuban researchers. The changes of the concept throughout history have had noteworthy influence in the identification of its characteristics.

Talented children are society´s most valuable resource, because they will be the future artists, authors, politicians and scientists. They must receive adequate attention so as to fully develop their enormous potential.

It also offers instructions for educators, who have the opportunity to identify them and further develop their talent, as well as recommendations, orientation and support for their families in bringing up these children with Special Educational Needs.
