Continuous training as a professionalization strategy for the salvadoran teaching profession

Resumen

El artículo tiene por objetivo hacer una descripción sobre los esfuerzos realizados en formación continua de los docentes salvadoreños. La revisión se hace a partir de las reformas impulsadas desde 1940 hasta el año 2020. Mediante el método histórico descriptivo y el lógico deductivo se busca identificar los referentes teóricos que les han dado fundamento a los modelos de formación continua aplicados al magisterio salvadoreño hasta la fecha. Se sintetiza en la necesidad de elaborar una propuesta sistémica de formación continua que permita responder de forma integral la necesidad formativa del magisterio salvadoreño.

Abstract

The article aims to make a description of the efforts made in continuous training of Salvadoran teachers. The review is made from the reforms promoted from 1940 to the year 2020. Through the descriptive historical method and the deductive logic, it seeks to identify the theoretical references that have given foundation to the continuous training models applied to the Salvadoran teaching profession to date. . It is synthesized in the need to elaborate a systemic proposal for continuous training that allows to respond in an integral way to the training need of the Salvadoran teaching profession.
