Pertinencia de la enseñanza de la historia regional, como componente de la cultura histórica en la formación de ingenieros
Resumen
Después de una profunda investigación acerca de la formación del profesional de la ingeniería en el país, y de utilizar diferentes procedimientos en la búsqueda de soluciones para su perfeccionamiento, las autoras han coincidido en la necesidad de emplear métodos de enseñanza que ubiquen al estudiante en la realidad histórica de cada una de sus regiones. La carencia de la enseñanza de la historia regional, como una arista de la cultura histórica en el pregrado de las carreras de ingeniería, ha incidido en el desconocimiento histórico y cultural, de manera general y específica, de sus especialidades. Se plantea contribuir a una formación integral de los futuros egresados, identificados con los problemas de la región para poder contribuir a su desarrollo. Y si no es así, de qué forma los futuros ingenieros aportarían al progreso de la sociedad a la cual pertenecen. Serían esfuerzos inoficiosos, sin percatarse de las posibilidades que brinda la cultura histórica, que contiene la historia regional, para el desarrollo futuro de un profesional plenamente identificado con la historia y cultura del país y de la región.

After a thorough investigation about the professional training of engineering in the country, and by different procedures in the search for solutions for the improvement of it, the authors have agreed on the need to employ teaching methods that place the student in the historical reality of each of its regions. The lack of teaching of regional history, as an aspect of the historical culture in the undergraduate engineering degree, has influenced the historical and cultural ignorance of their specialties in a general and specific way. It is proposed, to contribute to a quality training of future graduates, insist to know the region, to have identification with it and to contribute to its development. And if not, how would future engineers contribute to the progress of the society to which they belong They would be making inofficiously efforts, not viewing the possibilities offered by the historical culture, which contains the regional history, for the future development of a professional fully identified with the history and culture of the country and the region.
