Periodización de la educación musical en la escuela pública cubana de la primera mitad del siglo xx
Abstract
This article is part of an ongoing doctoral research, which aspires to systematize the historical-pedagogical process of musical education in Cuba in the Neocolonial Republic. To do this, the logical historical method, the inductive-deductive and the analytical-synthetic method are used. In addition, those of historical-educational research such as bibliographical registration, criticism of documentary sources - consulted in the personal archives of Joaquín Rodríguez Lanza y Carbonell and César Pérez Sentenat, magazines treasured in the funds of institutions such as the National Museum of Music, the Museum of Education and the José Martí National Library. The triangulation of this information and the testimony of personalities who practiced teaching in the context in question. The study allowed us to periodize the period, determine the main milestones and reveal the practical actions of personalities linked to the public school, all of which needs to be known by educational historians and teachers in charge of training music educators today.
