Abstract
The Cuban State's strategic elements are the improvement of training and preparation programs for teachers, as well as family and community agents. This article aims to assess the importance of the preparation of community agents and their involvement in the institutional educational project of educational institutions located in socially complex and highly vulnerable areas. The institutional educational project allows us to establish clear objectives, plan coherently, involve the community, efficiently manage resources and continually evaluate educational processes. Theoretical methods are applied: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, historical method and the development of the proposal. Empirical methods: observation of directors and officials, surveys of students, families and community agents, interviews with management structures and the experiential method. The results of the research carried out admit that community agents play an important role in the functioning of the institution, since they are a bridge between it and the community, which facilitates communication and collaboration between both, allowing us to understand the specific needs of the environment and work on the implementation of effective strategies that resolve them. In addition, it contributes to strengthening their participation in the institutional educational project, and also encourages all members of the community to actively participate in school activities, which favors a climate of collaboration in comprehensive well-being and development of socio-emotional skills.
