Dificultades en el Aprendizaje e inglés. Fundamentos de un programa de asignatura para el pregrado
Abstract
The results of foreign and national research have shown the importance of the undergraduate training of English teachers to cater primary pupils with Learning Difficulties who study English, however, there are still lack of studies that address proposals for the training of this professional at this stage of the training process in Cuba. This researchwasa continuation of the author's previous studies in the area and aimed to propose a subject program that contributes to the undergraduate training process of the foreign language teacher for the attention of primary pupils with Learning Difficulties who study English. A mixed research approach was used, of an experimental type, based on the emerging dialectical-materialist paradigm and methods of the theoretical, empirical and statistical level. A non-probabilistic intentional sample was used, made up of 31 students, 8 teachers and 7 managers. The results expose the structure of the program elaborated from the identified strengths and needs and its assessment by expert criteria. The foundations and characteristics that a program must have for such purposes for the investigated context are discussed, as well as the theoretical assessment made. It is concluded that the program reveals coherence and theoretical validity.
