Abstract

Interculturalism has become huge in the 21st Century with the high development of technology, international communication, and the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020. Today, blended learning and flipped classroom in language learning are a reality in distant education, as well as a support to face-to-face learning. The communicative, interactive and intercultural competence is internationally recognized as the goal of language teaching. Interculturalism is one of the challenges faced by students in language learning, and by teachers in its design. Without culture, human communication is practically impossible. The following objective has been formulated: to offer a vision of the development of communication from interculturalism in learning the English language, at teachers training in the new contexts of universities. Interculturalism enriches day by day thanks to technologies and the new communicative contexts that have emerged in the last decades. For this, it is necessary to demonstrate teachers and students how to improve communication from interculturalism and its determinant role in the comprehension and production of the English language. Theoretical and empirical methods were used by the authors to gather and process information; in addition to the techniques of self-reflection, collective debate and the discursive analysis. Results reflect the elaboration of digitalized products as texts, tasks and procedures, which reveal how interculturalism constitutes an element inherent to communication. The tasks and the samples have a strong educational, communicative, cultural and humanistic content.
