Professionalization strategy for teachers of de major in Physical Rehabilitation Technology
Estrategia de profesionalización para los docentes de la carrera tecnológica de Rehabilitación Física
Abstract
The professionalization of university teachers is a global demand for higher education. Hence, this article has addressed a topic of great importance for the integral formation of Physical Rehabilitation students. Its general objective was to determine the foundations of the professionalization strategy for the professional performance improvement of the teachers in the Physical Rehabilitation major at the Instituto Tecnológico Bolivariano de Tecnología, Guayaquil, Ecuador. The research results followed a qualitative approach with an explanatory character in this article, focusing on the foundations of the professionalization strategy. The information necessary to meet the objective was compiled from a literature review, the use of theoretical bibliographical review, and the use of theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis, and induction, which made it possible to gather relevant information about theoretical referents that support the proposed professionalization strategy. As a result, it was possible to approach the essential theoretical elements to establish the link between the main theoretical elements and the improvement of the professional performance of university teachers.
