Abstract
his article arises from the research conducted by the authors in their professional practice in teacher training. Its objective is to present some ideas on the theoretical and methodological foundations that allow, in addition to adequately addressing this content, to demonstrate the influence that children's literature has on teachers' cultural and professional growth. The methods used were bibliographic review, participant observation, research, and expository methods to support the proposed objective and the dissemination of the results, which recognize the imprint of children's literature on their professional and cultural development. From its conception, it has allowed for a deep exploration and use of children's literature to increase the quality and effectiveness of teachers' pedagogical work, which requires creative and innovative approaches to benefit knowledge through the foundations of contemporary linguistics.
