Activities for geographical education on environmental issues from the geography of ninth grade

Abstract
Education in Cuba after the Triumph of the Revolution has been characterized by a constant concern for the integral formation of the personality of the students, as the fundamental way to prepare man for life. Currently, the development of society is characterized by the intensification of environmental problems that cause serious damage to the planet and rapidly negatively influence the quality of life of different species. These problems have been related to the very evolution of society, however, some of them are as old as the origin of nature and of humanity itself, that is, their antecedents are in the existence of the latter, where the human beings have been the main responsible for its imbalance and its accelerated impact in recent decades. This situation calls us to a systematic practice of environmental actions and activities at the global, local and ESBU levels: Camilo Torres Restrepo, is the most appropriate place to implement the actions, due to the great contamination suffered by the popular council in which it is located. Said institution, influencing the improvement of the quality of life. The aforementioned made it possible to improve the sanitation of the locality in which the school is located. Consequently, this article alludes to the potential that it has for the environmental education of students and inhabitants of Bauta, emphasizing the need to maintain environmental conditions and the quality of life of the population that lives there.
