Methodological strategy for the pedagogical training of assistant students in the career of medicine

Estrategia metodológica para la formación pedagógica de los Alumnos Ayudantes en la carrera de Medicina

Abstract

The training of medical students has a space for their pedagogical performance called Assistant Student Movement, who are committed to collaborate in the teaching-learning process of the different scenarios of Education at work, however, their didactic and pedagogical preparation is not yet consolidated and updated, a problem identified within the Sciences of Medical Education.

The objective of this article is to discuss about the need for a solid scientific-research and pedagogical training of the Assistant Students of the medical career with the proposal of a methodological strategy.

The methods used were: documentary analysis of the study plan of the career and the documents that regulate the training and performance of the Assistant Students, it requires the theoretical systematization of the definition of the methodological strategy that is structured in moments, objectives and actions, for the sake of the participants, as well as the teacher`s tutors of the training, which result from the experiences of the authors.
