“Africa in our culture”

Resumen

África es hoy una de las regiones más pobres del mundo a pesar de sus inmensas riquezas naturales por lo que tiene que enfrentar múltiples desafíos: económicos, políticos, junto al impacto del cambio climático, las migraciones, las epidemias. Las cuantiosas riquezas de que se apropiaron las potencias coloniales del siglo XVI, a partir de la cacería y el mayor comercio de seres humanos que haya conocido la humanidad, generaron los males que padecen hoy, este continente mártir.   La cultura cubana está indisolublemente ligada a la historia de ese continente, vinculado al desarrollo social, de ahí la estrecha relación: historia-cultura-sociedad. Este artículo tiene como objetivo valorar la importancia del legado africano en la cultura cubana. Pues constituye un acercamiento desde la Historia de Cuba a lo que representó la presencia africana en el proceso de formación de la nacionalidad y la nación cubana.

Abstract

Africa is today one of the poorest regions in the world in spite of its immense natural wealth for what has to face multiple challenges: economic, political, next to the impact of the climatic change, the migrations, and the epidemics. The considerable wealth that they appropriated the colonial powers of the XVI century, starting from the hunt and the biggest trade of human beings that the humanity has known, they generated the wrongs that you/they suffer today, this containing martyr. The Cuban culture is indissolubly bound to the history of that continent, linked to the social development, of there the narrow relationship: history-culture-society. This article has as objective to value the importance of the African legacy in the Cuban culture. Because it constitutes an approach from the History from Cuba to what represented the African presence in the process of formation of the nationality and the Cuban nation.
