Critical thinking from the management of information and knowledge in the educational context
Abstract
The objective of the article is to argue the importance of critical thinking in today's society, marked by the overabundance of information and the need to rigorously evaluate content. It is highlighted that critical thinking is an individual capacity supported by cognitive processes, attitudes, and experiences that allow analyzing, questioning, and transforming information into meaningful knowledge. Likewise, it is argued that informational skills are essential mediators to exercise such critical thinking in educational settings. It is concluded that the integration of critical thinking, informational skills, and information management promotes more autonomous, ethical, and evidence-oriented educational practices.
