Professional Pedagogy is a scientific-methodological journal published by the Center for the Study of Professional Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education in Technical Sciences at the University of Pedagogical Sciences “Enrique José Varona,” Havana, Cuba, in electronic format. It was founded in 2002 at the former University of Pedagogical Sciences for Technical and Professional Education Héctor Alfredo Pineda Zaldívar of this city.
It publishes scientific articles related to the results of research and advanced pedagogical experiences in technical fields; achievements of Cuban technical education; teacher and educational leadership training; as well as the school-business-community link and Cuban pedagogical thought.

Purpose

To share the results of research and advanced pedagogical experiences in the didactics of technical fields, technical education, teacher training, and the development of a skilled workforce at the intermediate and higher levels, the connection between school-business-community, as well as the contributions of Cuban and foreign pedagogical thought.

Scope

It promotes the visibility and impact of scientific research results that contribute to technical and professional pedagogical training, both academically, professionally, and in research, as a contribution to sustainable social and economic development, in line with the demands of the labor market, in both national and international contexts.
It is a journal aimed at researchers, teachers, students of technical and professional education, as well as institutions and researchers whose profile is related to training in technical and pedagogical areas, worldwide.
The journal publishes four issues a year under the continuous publication system. Each of the published issues has its own table of contents.

Types of contributions it publishes

The journal publishes the results of original research related to its scope, carried out in Cuba and other regions, following the open access policy.
The journal publishes articles in Spanish and English.
Peer reviewEvaluation is conducted using the double-blind system; however, in accordance with the principles of Open Science, open peer review is also practiced.

Submitted works must be original, and they must not have been published by the author or anyone else, nor should they be under consideration for publication by another journal or media outlet.
The journal Pedagogía Profesional is committed to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. The submission of manuscripts, processing, and publication incur no cost to the authors; it is completely free.
