Perception of the effect of the Master's program in Atherosclerosis Research on the professional training of its graduates

Abstract

The objective of this article is to describe how graduates of the 11th and 12th cohorts perceive the Master's Program in Atherosclerosis University of Medical Sciences of Havana, in their professional development. An analytical longitudinal study was conducted from 2021 to 2025. The criteria related to the following dimensions are presented: development of research skills and contribution to professional scientific development. The criteria of 46 graduates were analyzed, who expressed the excellence of the faculty, the usefulness of the courses in teaching and clinical work, the development of research skills, and their willingness to continue professional development. The program's design, the scientific and methodological quality of the faculty, and its impact on their professional and research performance as excellent.
