Technological education in the training carried out on learning the Open Journal Systems platform

Abstract

This work aims to describe the training workshops for editors of the Cuban Journal of Natural and Traditional Medicine, published by the National Center for Scientific Research in Havana, Cuba, on the use of Open Journal Systems within the context of technological education. A four-section training program, titled "Technological Education in Scientific Publishing," was designed to train the editors. Theoretical, empirical, and expert-based methods were applied. The training program was conducted in four stages, combining in-person instruction with online support. The program's effectiveness was evaluated based on the participants' ability to use the platform and the corresponding teaching materials.
