Attention to diversity from university libraries

La atención a la diversidad desde la biblioteca universitaria

Abstract

The objective of the article is to propose a system of indicators that allows the Direction of Scientific and Technical Information of the University of Pedagogical Sciences Enrique Jose Varona, in Havana, Cuba, to offer an information service for the attention to diversity as endorsed in the 2030 Agenda. Systematization was used as a method and process and documentary and content analysis. It was determined that the following should be taken into account: structural spaces of access to all, the variety of collections, equal access to digital information and the conception of inclusive educational improvement programs, as a social function of university libraries based on the social notion of services and the challenges they must face in communion with society.
