Abstract
The objective of this article is to substantiate how advanced education acts as a key factor in the strengthening of technical and professional skills, allowing greater adaptation to the demands of medical practice and contributing to the quality of health services in Cuba. A systematization was carried out on professional improvement, professional development and professional performance from the theory of advanced education. This approach fosters comprehensive training that not only responds to current needs, but also promotes continuous growth and commitment to professional excellence.
