Pensamiento lógico en la resolución de problemas matemáticos en alumnos de educación primaria

Keywords: logical thinking, mathematical problems solving, didactic strategies

Abstract

This paper aimed to present the main results derived from the implementation of a teaching strategy to strengthen logical-mathematical thinking in fifth-grade elementary school students, with an emphasis on problem solving, at the José María Morelos y Pavón Elementary School in Zacatecas, Mexico. The methodology used in this research included a mixed-method design, with qualitative and quantitative approaches, which allowed for a comprehensive understanding of the problem and the implementation of effective strategies. The strategy was based on the use of digital resources, such as educational videos and mathematical games, complemented by recreational activities and collaborative work. Preliminary results suggest that these tools foster meaningful learning and improve students' academic performance.
