Impact of the Pedagogy Course on the Teaching Training of Health Professionals
Impacto del curso de pedagogía en la formación docente de los profesionales de la salud
Abstract
The objective of this article is to evaluate the impact of the course "Didactic and Methodological Foundations of Teaching in Medical Sciences Programs," taught to healthcare professionals at the Calixto García School of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba. Theoretical methods were used: documentary and historical-logical analysis; empirical methods included a satisfaction survey of the participants. According to the analysis, the course was perceived by participants as having a positive impact on their training and experience, and it highlighted the need to improve the focus of faculty development activities.
