El desempeño profesional en la atención al paciente oncológico

Professional performance in cancer patient care

Resumen

El objetivo del artículo es proponer un sistema de talleres para el mejoramiento del desempeño profesional del especialista en Medicina Familiar en la atención integral al paciente oncológico en estado terminal en el municipio Habana Vieja, La Habana, Cuba. Se realizó un estudio investigación- acción en el área del posgrado, en el municipio Habana Vieja, período  abril  2022.- abril 2023. Se empleó  test de satisfacción a los especialistas en Medicina Familiar partipantes. La valoración de los resultados obtenidos con la aplicación del sistema de talleres propuesto, prueba al desempeño, test de satisfacción y la consulta a expertos constataron la pertinencia, viabilidad del sistema de talleres, al observarse el mejoramiento del desempeño profesional en la atención al paciente oncológico en estado terminal.

ABSTRACT

The objective of thes article is to carry out a workshop system to improve the professional performance of Family Medicine specialists in the comprehensive care of terminally ill cancer patients in the municipality of Old Havana, Havana, Cuba. Action-research type of study in the postgraduate area, in the municipality of Old Havana, period April 2022 - April 2023. Initial and final performance tests were carried out on the study group. A workshop system was modeled, validated through consultation with experts, and applied. The evaluation of the results obtained with the application of the proposed workshop system, performance test, satisfaction test and consultation with experts confirmed the relevance and viability of the workshop system, observing the improvement of professional performance in the care of terminally ill cancer patients.
