Meaningful learning and skills-based training in the Guiding Techniques subject of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism

Resumen

El objetivo del artículo es exponer una metodología para el aprendizaje significativo y la formación por competencias en la asignatura Técnicas de Guiar de la Licenciatura en Turismo en Cuba, mediante la aplicación del juego de roles. Se utilizaron como métodos para la captación de la información el análisis documental, el análisis bibliográfico, y la entrevista no estructurada a docentes, incorporando así mismo el método vivencial. Se estructura una metodología compuesta por tres fases, Preparación, Implementación y Valoración del Juego de Roles, que comprende las actividades a desarrollar por el docente y los estudiantes.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to show a methodology for meaningful learning and competency-based training in the Guiding Techniques subject of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Cuba, through the application of role-playing. Document analysis, bibliographic analysis, and unstructured interviews with teachers were used as methods to capture information, also incorporating the experiential method. A methodology composed of three phases is structured, Preparation, Implementation and Assessment of the Role Playing, which includes the activities to be developed by the teacher and the students.
