Resumen

La presente investigación aborda un tema de actualidad consistente en la utilización de herramientas de software libre en función de la informatización del proceso de gestión de la información del Centro Universitario Municipal de Jatibonico “Francisco “Panchito” Gómez Toro”, así como también se fortalece el proceso docente – educativo del mismo. Este instrumento coadyuba a optimizar el flujo organizacional de la información y el nivel de las comunicaciones del centro. Se encuentra disponible en el referido centro, así como en los Joven Club de Computación, y puede ser consultado por los 27 docentes del CUM, y todos los estudiantes de dicho centro, así como también por los más de 3000 usuarios que como promedio acceden a los Joven Club,y sus 20 trabajadores. Para su elaboración se utilizó como herramienta base el CMS Joomla, utilizando como servidor el Wamp Server 2.0, con manejo de base de datos en MySQL. Posee varios módulos: Menú Principal; Proyectos del CUM; Departamento de Cuadros, Extensión Universitaria, Defensa, Orientación profesional, Bblioteca Virtual, Organizaciones de Base, Red Universitaria, Contador de Visitas, todo lo anterior en función de dar respuesta al objetivo propuesto. Su factibilidad y viabilidad demuestra los resultados derivados de las opiniones de los expertos en el tema.

ABSTRACT:

This research addresses a current issue involving the use of free software tools based on the computerization of the process of managing information Jatibonico Municipal University Center "Francisco" Panchito "Gómez Toro" as well as strengthens the education of the same -. teaching process This instrument coadyuba to optimize the organizational flow of information and the level of the communications center. Its preparation was used as a basic tool the CMS Joomla, using the WAMP Server 2.0 server with database management in MySQL. It has several modules: Main Menu; CUM projects; Paintings Department, University Extension, Defence, Career Guidance, Bblioteca Virtual Organizations of Base, Red Universitaria, counter, all of the above in terms of responding to the objective. Feasibility and viability shows the results derived from the opinions of experts in the field.
